I have been a huge fan of Michael Kors for many years now and my closet is filled with MK blazers, shoes, boots, dresses, coats, pants, jeans, sweaters, tops, and even jewelry. There is something about this brand that always makes me continue to buy good quality items from his line. This blazer was one of them. I love the stiff structure of this blazer and the shape is so perfect for my body shape. I was looking for a longer blazer with big shoulders and a neutral colour. This blazer can be paired with a simple pair of jeans, a dress, and dress pants. The options are endless.
Here, I paired it with a pair of dressy high-waisted shorts and a cute puff sleeve top. The suede knee-high boots give it a dressy look and have a thick comfy heel. I found the boots years ago and because they fit in the calf, I had to grab them. I have thick athletic calves so it’s difficult to find knee-high and over-the-knee boots, so when they do fit they come home with me.
If you read my previous posts, you would know that I love dressy shorts even for winter wear. I would just add thick tights for the colder season or bare legs if going out at night with a longer winter jacket to cover up while going to and from the car.
The puff sleeve top was a great addition to my closet, not just your average t-shirt. The fitted jersey material in the body has a great stretch to it, but the puff sleeves are stiff cotton to help hold the puff sleeve up. I have an attraction to puff sleeves in dresses, sweaters, tops, and jackets.
