Your master bedroom is your oasis and you should feel a sense of calm in it. When I started to envision how I would design a dreamy master bedroom, I knew I wanted to love spending time in it and I wanted it to look dreamy and elegant.
The paint colour throughout most of my house is a warm grey colour, almost a mink colour.
You should feel a sense of calm, a peaceful feeling in your bedroom.
My bed frame was purchased at a local furniture shop (Chelsea Furniture) a Canadian-owned company, and they can customize any of their furniture. I was able to choose the fabric, add the nail head design and crystal buttons for a dreamy feel. The best way to shop at Chelsea is to go to the Eastgate Mall location in Hamilton. You will see the inventory they have and speak with the consultants in-store to customize any look.

My favourite color, if you can’t tell is pink and so I accented my bed decor with pink and grey pillows, a grey fun fur blanket. I mean really, can you have enough pillows? Almost a shame to have to get into bed and mess up all those beautiful fluffy pillows. All of the pillows, blankets, wall accessories, mirrors and other accessories all from Winners or Homesense. I love to shop the unique pieces at both stores.
My bedroom furniture is over 30 years old. It is a solid wood Palliser Bedroom Set. I re-painted the entire bedroom set using chalk paint and updated it to crystal knobs to make the set more elegant. Read more {Glamorous Bedroom Update with Chalk Paint}
My glass makeup & perfume desk was a HomeSense find. I fell in love with it because of its size. It’s pretty compact but fits enough items in the drawers and I display my perfumes on the top.
The mirror was also purchased at Homesense along with the accent wall pieces. The stool was an antique and I covered it with some white faux fur material and repainted the metal in silver spray paint to refresh it.
Bedroom pieces do not have to all be bought brand new to make your look come together. I believe in re-using key pieces and updating them to accommodate any room. Simplicity is key when you put them all together.
